and her name is...

...........................................................................................................

Addison Jordan

Do you like it? Well, we love it.  We have actually had this name picked out since before we found out that Josiah was a boy.  And with each pregnancy after that, we kept adding to the list of girl names.  However, we always come back to this one.

I've always thought that Addison was a beautiful name and we went with Jordan because I wanted each of our children to have a part of their daddy's name.  And what's really fun about this is the nickname that we also have had picked out since I was pregnant with Josiah....

Addy Jo

too cute, huh?

You know you have it bad when you already have a nickname picked out!

Anyway, on Saturday I will be 19 weeks and I am just now beginning to feel her little flutters.  I'm pretty sure that I felt both of our boys moving around earlier than this...I think it was around 16 weeks with both of them.  Maybe this is a sign of the differences in their personalities already? Maybe Addy Jo will be a little more laid back and mellow? One can only hope, right? : )

the last few weeks in a BIG nutshell...

The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy...it seems like I have been starting a lot of my blog posts off that way lately.  Thus the life, huh?

Anyway, the Sunday before Resurrection Day, we had an egg hunt for the kiddos at church. It was chilly and VERY windy but I think all the kids had a good time.

That Sunday night after church, we headed to Grandmommy and Papa's house for Southside's Annual Bible Conference.

Grandmommy and Papa surprised Eli with a rice krispie birthday cake!

This picture is just too cute not to post!

Fundraising to bring baby Isaiah home from Ethiopia!

The kids even did their part to bring Isaiah home : )

The day after we made it back home from the bible conference, Bobpa, Gammy and Uncle Trevor came to visit.

And they came bearing birthday presents! Eli was very excited as you can see!

Bobpa and Josiah took advantage of our crazy wind and decided to fly a kite. Josiah didn't want to let go of the tail though which made things kind of difficult for Bobpa!

We also took the boys to the park and fed the ducks. It took Eli a little while to realize that the bread was for the ducks and not him...

And of course we took them to the Old Plantation in Medicine Park which has become our favorite place to eat.

That Saturday we loaded up and headed to Oklahoma City to visit the zoo.  We all had a lot of fun but after two hours, we still had not seen everything and were all wiped out!

Our company had to head back after church on Resurrection Day but snapped these picks for us before they left.

And here I am at 17 weeks. (baby blog update coming soon!)

Last Wednesday I got a call that everyone dreads.  My Uncle Mack passed away.  So I packed Elijah and myself up and headed to Mount.  (Jordan had to stay here to preach another funeral) Uncle Mack was one of the most honest men that I have ever met.  The one thing that I will never forget about him is how he helped whoever he could, in whatever way, to realize their potential.  I will dearly miss this man.  Please keep my family in your prayers, especially my Aunt Karen, over the next few weeks.

Although the circumstances of my visit to Mount were unfortunate,  I still enjoyed seeing my family.  There's just something about that place that never fails to pull on my heartstrings!

I also enjoyed getting to see my sister-in-law Ashley and her precious baby bump! We are due only one week apart!

So now that I am back home, I am trying to focus on a few projects.  Do y'all remember that room that I was converting into a huge closet? Well, I'm still getting part of my wish.  I'll just be sharing it with baby girl's clothes, crib, etc.  Jordan built the closet unit himself and I think it turned out awesome.  I was in the middle of painting her crib yesterday when this storm and cold front rolled in.  Now I guess I'll have to wait until it warms up again to finish it!
