This mom thing is hard... But God sends me subtle reminders during these perfectly imperfect days that this is exactly what I should be doing. I feel so blessed to take part in all of these memories and to be used to shape their little minds. I realize that not all mamas get to be with their babies all day long and that realization makes me even more thankful to God for making it possible. There is nothing in this world that I would rather be doing!

Addy Jo {28 weeks}
I can't believe that I am already in my third trimester and seven months pregnant! It really does go by so much faster the more kids you have. I have mixed feelings about that. In one sense, I'm glad that it is going by so fast because the summer heat is now on us and my boys are not ones to stay inside. In another sense, I'm finding this pregnancy bittersweet because I know it will be my last. God has made that clear to Jordan and I both. If you know me well, then you know that I do not enjoy being pregnant. However, this time around, I'm trying not to complain as much and just enjoy this last pregnancy the best I can!
How far along: 28 weeks
Maternity clothes: pants...I'm still getting away with regular tops and dresses...stretchy ones, anyway...
Best moment this month: getting to see our Addy Jo via ultrasound...she is already weighing a whopping 2 1/2 lbs! I think it's just in our genes to have big babies.
Miss Anything: getting to eat carbs without thinking twice! A lot of women use their pregnancy to eat whenever and whatever they want. I, on the other hand, cannot handle the sugar when I am pregnant. I get extremely light headed and shaky. I passed my first glucose test but my doctor made me take it again due to my past history. I should know the results from my second test on Monday.
Movement: still mostly at night when I finally sit down. However, I have been feeling her more during the day too. Her movements are mostly subtle but every once in awhile she gets a little crazy in there. And she still prefers me to lay on my right side rather than my left.
Food cravings: Fruit!...of all kinds...we went through 6 watermelons in less than 2 weeks! In my defense, I had a lot of help eating them...
Anything making you queasy or sick: this is going to sound really weird...when I had morning sickness and bronchitis for the first three months of this pregnancy, I couldn't hardly get off the couch. During that time, the boys watched The Lorax on repeat for days. And Jordan brewed a lot of cinnamon apple tea. Now, I can't watch The Lorax or smell that tea without feeling queasy...I know it's mental...
Have you started to show yet: ummmm....yes. definitely yes.
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks contractions have definitely increased since last month
Belly Button in or out: starting to poke out a bit
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ask Jordan...I have my days, I'll put it that way...
Looking forward to: her baby shower next month!

First Pet(s) Experience
We have wanted to get the boys a pet for awhile. We would have loved to have gotten them a dog but we decided on something a little easier to manage right now. A bunny. Jordan named him Nelson. Josiah named him Delson. And Eli named him Bu-yee.
We bought him roughly two months ago from Atwoods when he was only a couple of weeks old and he really was the sweetest bu-yee ever. The boys fell in love with him fast and treated him just like a puppy. I think Nelson actually thought he was a puppy. We let him roam around our backyard during the day and would put him back in his cage at night. Even when he crawled his way under our fence, he would stay right by the fence, never wandering very far from the shelter of the propane tanks. For the first two weeks after we brought him home, he spent a lot of time in the house. He wasn't using the bathroom much at all so I didn't have a problem with it. But then a switch must have flipped because after that, all he did was poop and pee...constantly! So then he became mostly an outside rabbit. But when we opened the door, he would come running into the house just like dogs do. He was a pretty neat pet.
You might have noticed that I'm writing about Nelson in past tense. That is because Nelson is no longer with us. I think we got a little too lax with him. Because he never ran off and stayed close to the house when he wasn't in his pen, we gave him too much freedom. And one day last week, he either got brave enough or just plain tired of Eli's "lovins" and ran away. At least, I like to think that is what happened and that he didn't get eaten by anything. I'll just keep picturing him now frolicking in the field with all the other bunnies behind the church. Yes, I like that mental picture much more than the ulterior.
We will miss our Nelson...
.....yes, we will miss Nelson, BUT we are happy to welcome Dots and Hershey to the family! Paula and I ran to Atwoods on Monday while the boys were napping and surprised them with two new bunnies when they woke up. They were so excited!
Now we have to get those holes patched up in the backyard fence before we lose these guys too!
