A Bunch of Birthdays

Last week we celebrated five birthdays with family in Mt. Enterprise.  My nephew, Jace, turned one on August 22nd, Josiah turned five on the 26th, Dad turned 51 on the 27th and Addy Jo will be one on September 3rd. We also celebrated Liam, who was my soon-to-be sister-in-laws baby who passed away just shy of two months of age.  I never met Liam but his story has touched me.  It reminds me not to take any days with my babies for granted. And even though I never met the little guy, I have found myself tearing up and mourning the loss of a nephew I never got to meet.  The fact that he would have been the same age as Jace and Addy Jo makes it really hit home. I can't imagine what Summer most feel.  But I have seen her strength and it is a testimony to God's healing power and love within her.  Though we are sad for ourselves, Liam celebrated his first birthday in heaven with Jesus and I can't imagine anything better than that.
