Reflecting on October

I'm afraid this blog has become more of a photo album.  It's not that I don't have anything to say.  I've just been so busy living life that I haven't had much time to reflect or document.  And that's okay.  It's just the season that I'm in right now and I'm enjoying it so.

This month, like last month, has been really busy.  We are finally starting to get into a routine after moving and I'm happy to say that Nederland is really starting to feel like home.  Our church family is just incredible.  They feel just like that. Family.  The Lord answered our prayers when He sent us here and it still feels unreal at times. Hillcrest is such a productive, mission-minded church that reaches out to the community as well as foreign lands. We are thankful to be here.

Since it's been awhile, I really feel like I should give an update on the kids.  Josiah and Eli are doing really well in preschool.  They are learning a lot and really enjoying being around all the other kids.  It makes my heart happy how excited they are to see me after school and the first thing they do is pull our their folders to show me what all they learned that day.

As for Addy Jo, I'm happy to say that after being in our world for 14 months, she has finally started sleeping through the night! Can I get an amen?!? I am SO SO SO thankful for this. 8 unbroken hours of sleep each night makes for a much more productive and happy mama! Our sweet girl has also finally started to play with girl toys instead of just cars and trucks.  She has become quite the little mama taking care of her baby dolls.  It's precious to watch her pat their backs and pretend like she is feeding them.  I love being a boy mama but I also now love being a girl mama.  I get the best of both worlds!

This past month we got the pleasure of visiting my family in Mt. Enterprise for a couple of days as well as having had Jordan's parents come and visit.  And of course, we had a fall festival at our church that was a huge success.  Now that October is past,  I'm looking forward to the upcoming holidays and celebrating family and Jesus.

Here's too many pics from October: (and if you can make it through all the pictures, there is a poor quality video at the end of Jordan and I singing at church last Wednesday.  It's so blurry that it really only functions as an audio clip.  And I feel completely vulnerable and a little weird about posting it but we've had a lot of people asking to see it so here you go. For some reason posting it on my blog instead of Facebook isn't as scary) LOL
