You are what I've been calling our unexpected blessing. I have to admit, we were both in shock when we first found out on December 12, 2008, only five months after our wedding. I had just turned twenty one and your daddy turned twenty-two the day before we found out. So you are also our birthday surprise! But surprise and shock has turned into complete joy, excitement and thankfulness. We know that God is forming you in my womb to fulfil a purpose. You are being wonderfully and beautifully made. We can't wait to meet you!
We told our whole family about you at Christmas by wrapping pacifiers in little gift boxes. Everyone is so excited about you!
On December 19th, we got our first glimpse of you-just a little blob on the sonogram screen. And today we heard your heart beat for the first time at 149 BMP and we were also given a due date of August 16, 2009. The sound of your heart beating was definitely the most precious thing I have ever heard. And the sight of you...so sweet...this time we could actually see little nubs starting to protrude, which will eventually become your arms and legs....arms that hug and legs that pitter patter down the hall...
We love you little one.
