Christmas Decorating and Snow!

I confess...We actually decorated weeks ago. Gasp! I know. I know.  By decorating before Thanksgiving, we did not give this wonderful holiday all its due.  Because celebrating Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations up somehow makes us less thankful I guess.  That's what people have been saying anyways...Not so for us though! We happen to do a lot of traveling during the months of November and December and wanted to actually be able to enjoy our decorations longer than two weeks.  So there is my explanation.  Anyway, we LoVe Christmas and just the whole month of December in general.  The boys had a blast decorating.  So much, in fact, that it turned into a dress up session. See for yourself...

Icecream Break!

We have a tree just for the kiddos' decorations and we have made it a tradition of buying each of them an ornament each year that somehow reflects what they were interested in that year.  The hard part is keeping them from pulling the ornaments off and playing with them.  The day after we put this tree up, I heard a loud crash and to my horror found the tree on the ground with several broke ornaments.  Fortunately, I was able to glue them back together except for one.  We have since moved the tree out of reach...

Did I mention that we received a bunch of snow here in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago? AND we are suppose to get some more this week.  I'll admit, living here in Oklahoma where we get more snow than in Texas, does have its perks!
